The College Women's Club of Dayton, Ohio

President's Message: 2020 - 2021
The Theme for the Year: Be kind to one another
as we learn together and move CWC forward
in these changing times.

The College Women's Club of Dayton, Ohio (CWC) is a group of college-educated women from the Miami Valley area who meet monthly throughout the fall, winter, and spring for educational as well as social programs. We were founded in 1907 to encourage and support higher education for all women and to also emphasize service to our community. Today we continue these values by offering scholarships to college women and funding scholarships to worthwhile programs for children through  The Dayton Art Institute, The Boonshoft Museum, Aullwood Nature Center, and Sunwatch Indian Village / Archaeological Park.

Though times have changed over the years, we continue our traditions today. Each month (October through December and February through June), we have a general CWC meeting. Preceding the meeting is a luncheon, followed by the speaker for the day. Following the general meeting is out traditional tea, graced by our silver service and including a variety of delicious cookies made by our members.

Our programs each month are educational and cover a wide range of topics. The programs are suggested by members to keep the interest of the entire membership. We also enjoy the included entertainment programs.

Membership allows our members to participate in our Study Groups. Those study groups enjoy book talks, arts and crafts, interior design, and gourmet cooking. Groups generally meet once a month on different days so all members can take part in the groups of their choice.

We welcome new members to CWC. If you are interested in becoming a member, please check our website (https://www.collegewomensclubof dayton.org/membership-procedures.html) and contact us.

Sincerely,
Karin Dillman
CWC President (2020-2021)
