Since 2000, The Children's Dyslexia Center of Dayton has helped the Dayton area children to discover the gift of reading and to open up a world of opportunities for them that once seemed unattainable. We have local educators trained in the best practical approaches to teach reading skills. We are a dedicated organization of people who believe every child should have access to high-quality reading and writing instruction. We help children to successfully meet the literacy demands n school and their future. Dyslexia is a learning disability that makes it difficult for children and adults to read, to write, and to spell. An estimated 1 in 5 Americans have dyslexia, regardless of their intelligence or quality of education.
