American librarians have long been proponents of free speech and the freedom to read. They have always faced complaints or challenges regarding the books and information they provide. Sometimes it is a question of parental rights or community standards. And then there’s the internet! Retired librarian, Doug Kaylor, will tell a few stories and look at the challenges before today’s libraries.
