Topic: Honey Bees - Importance - Their Lives

Speaker:  Mike Pittman, Beekeeper

How much do you know about honeybees and beekeeping?  Do you know why bees are important?  Do you know if they are endangered?  What will happen if bees disappear?  Our speaker today will give us all the answers. 

Mike Pittman is a USAF veteran having served for five years and having seen action in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand where he was a side gunner on a rescue helicopter.   He has also served as a police officer in Dayton and in Kettering.  After retiring from the police force, Mike began teaching beginning and advanced beekeeping classes for the city of Kettering.  So far he has taught beekeeping to over 200 people.
