Linda Strite Murname is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel. She will speak about her experiences enlisting in the USAF at a time when women had to surrender their children for adoption to join the U.S. Armed Forces. She will detail how the experiences she had, entering as an airman basic and retiring as a Chief Circuit Air Force Judge and Colonel, motivated her to serve as Executive Director for the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights, and to work for the United Nations. She will also discuss her work around the world in Rwanda following the genocide, at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, at the International Criminal Tribunal for he former Yugoslavia, and even at The Vatican.
