If you’ve ever driven through Woodland Cemetery you may have noticed that many of the monuments have the names of many of the streets in Dayton. In this program, we’ll introduce you to the men and women whose streets bear their name and how they contributed to the history of Dayton.
About our speaker - in her own words:
I grew up in Cincinnati, attended University of Cincinnati and spent most of my career in the furniture industry. I live in the South Park neighborhood and always spent a great deal of my free time walking at Woodland Cemetery. After I officially retired, I learned that there were volunteer opportunities at the place that I enjoyed so much, so I have spent the last six years as a volunteer at Woodland doing what I love best - learning the history of the people who rest at Woodland and then telling others about it.
Chairperson for the Day: Margaret Kruckemeyer
Reception Table Hostesses: Judy Nassmacher, Connie Friend
