President's Message: 2019 - 2020: Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or one hundred. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. Dayton College Women’s Club offers many opportunities to meet with a group of diverse college educated women from all over the Miami Valley. Through our varied and interesting guest speakers we have learned a great deal about our community and all that it has to offer. Each month a special luncheon is prepared for our members, followed by a speaker’s program. While most programs are educational, many others cover many thought-provoking topics. Local authors, TV personalities, scientists, musicians, health experts, chefs and gardeners have shared their knowledge and/or entertained us. A short general membership meeting proceeds the speaker. Lastly, everyone is invited to enjoy tea and cookies for a time of fellowship. Our members contribute homemade cookies, and is a treat enjoyed by all. Teatime was established in 1907 by Dr. Gertrude Felker and this tradition continues today. |
Becoming a member of the College Women’s Club entitles you to participate in the study groups. These groups enjoy book talks, arts and crafts, interior design, and gourmet groups. CWC also participates in community outreach and offers scholarships to women of the Miami Valley pursuing a college education.
Learning keeps one young. For more information about us, please check our web site and Facebook page. Please consider visiting us and becoming a member of our longstanding College Women’s Club.
Kindest regards,
Sue White
CWC President (2019 - 2020)
